CABOOSH (Camden Baptist Out of School Hours Care) offers school holiday programs to children in the South Western suburbs of Sydney, providing fun and creativity in a caring, Christian environment. We understand that holidays can be a great opportunity for the kids to take a break, many working parents won’t be available to care for their children during this time. This is where our fun and engaging school holiday programs come in.
Our programs are designed to make life simple for our busy parents by having one simple fee that includes everything for a value packed day!
There’s only a few simple items you need to pack for your children depending on the specific activities (clearly labelled on the program flyer), along with morning tea each day. We provide all the other meals, activities, supplies, snacks, drinks, and of course, our usual high quality care by our incredible team, with no hidden fees!

Excursions
Providing a range of exciting excursions is one of the key elements to keeping children entertained, and also provide an opportunity for fun educational experiences from specialty facilities around our area.
Incursions
While we can’t go out on excursions every day, we value creating fun new experiences from a range of external providers who can bring their equipment on-site for an action packed activity!
Workshops
Another great way we provide additional value to our families is through various workshop days. Your children learn new skills such as cooking, wood work, art & craft, and get to bring home something to show for all their hard work (as long as they don’t eat it first!).
Theme / In Centre Days
We make every day fun, with dress up theme days and loads of programmed activities for every day during the program. Just because we’re not doing an excursion, incursion or workshop, doesn’t mean it won’t be a great day!
About CABOOSH’s School Holiday Programs
CABOOSH offers engaging, action-packed school holiday programs in a Christian environment. Our experienced professional leaders and educators are here to help your children make the most of their holiday time by providing fun activities that keep them creative and engaged, including excursions, in-centre activities and incursions.
During this time, your children will be provided with a healthy and delicious breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, allowing you to continue working during the holiday period.
Our school holiday program activities typically include:
Trips to fun, family-friend locations including the movies, zoo, science museums, parks and sports centres
Theme / dress up days
Arts and crafts projects
Sports and outdoor activities
Creative cooking, wood working, and other workshops where you children learn important life skills
Holiday themed days such as Christmas and Easter with crafts and dress-ups
Specialty incursion programs such as Silent Disco, Laser Tag, Zorb Balls, Reptile Show, Science Shows & more!

Vacation care, otherwise known as school holiday care, is one of CABOOSH’s out of school hours services. It’s a great program where your children stay active and social on their break by participating in our range of activities.
Our programs run 6:30am-6:30pm on Monday to Friday during school holidays.

For parents, especially for those who balance work and family life, a trusted program can reduce the stress of making it to pick up times in rush hour. Vacation care also provides flexibility and increased time to sort out those additional tasks on your to do list.

CABOOSH’s vacation care fees vary depending on the activities available for each program. Our fees are competitive, and we understand that vacation care is vital for many families and should be accessible for everyone.
CABOOSH is approved for the government’s childcare subsidy, meaning you can pay reduced fees. Generally, the government will cover between 50-85% of the fees in order to keep out of pocket expenses to a minimum.

The team at CABOOSH are experienced educators and are dedicated to making sure your children have a fun, educational and caring vacation care experience. We operate out of the Camden Baptist Church. Our programs are delivered in a nurturing Christian environment. The dedicated space of the church grounds is the perfect environment for your children to relax, play and enjoy their school holidays.
We partner with Camden Baptist Church to provide additional services to our families and the community, which includes a free tutoring program one afternoon each week for the children in our care.
There are also opportunities for your children to get involved in other programs offered by the church, including transitioning care on a Friday night into the church’s Neutrons & Girlztime programs (youth groups for primary school aged children).

Our Other Services
In addition to providing quality vacation care programs, CABOOSH offers other out of school hours programs. These include:
Before School Care
You can drop your child off at CABOOSH from 6:30am, and we’ll provide them with a nutritious breakfast. We’ll engage them in quiet activities suitable for the early hours of the morning to gently energise them before school starts. We’ll then drop them to school on our private mini buses.*
After School Care
After school care is perfect for busy families who are unable to pick their kids up from school. Our programs emphasise play, learning, recreation and social interaction.
Pupil Free / Staff Development Days
Our centre is open all day (6:30am-6:30pm) on pupil free / staff development days. On these days, we provide your children with breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks, as well as a range of games and activities.
