After School Care Programs
Caboosh offers after school programs to children in the South Western suburbs of Sydney, providing fun and creativity in a caring, Christian environment. We understand that picking up your children from school can be difficult if you’re a working or busy parent, which is where we come in.
We will pick up your children from school in one of our private mini buses and drive them to the centre, where they will receive a nutritious afternoon tea and participate in a range of fun activities until you’re ready to pick them up by 6:30pm.
About CABOOSH’s After School Care Programs
CABOOSH (Camden Baptist Out Of School Hours Care) offers fun, caring after school care programs in a Christian environment. We want to make sure your children are well-looked after, which is why we provide them with healthy food and engaging activities including craft and outdoor play.

What is after school care?
After school care is just one component of OOSH (Out of School Hours care). After school care is perfect for busy families who are unable to pick their kids up from school.
After school care emphasises play, learning, recreation and social interaction. It can be the perfect opportunity for your child to meet and socialise with kids from nearby schools, participate in organised activities or spend some quiet time by themselves.
Our after school programs are available for primary school aged children in Camden and surrounding suburbs. You can choose to enrol your children full-time with us, part-time, or just casually. So, whether you’re a full-time working parent who needs both before and after school care 5 days a week, or you just need support here and there, CABOOSH is here to help.

For parents, a good OOSH after school care program reduces the stress of having to pick children up from school, which can be especially challenging for working parents.

How much does after school care cost?
CABOOSH offers competitive after school care fees. We understand that after school care is vital for many families, and that it should be accessible for everyone.
We are approved for the childcare subsidy, meaning you can receive reduced fees. What this means is that in most cases, the government will pay up to 90% of your fees, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. Every family’s entitlement may be different based on your individual circumstances.
The fees on our website are quoted before the subsidy is applied. For after school care, our fees as at 1 January 2024 are (subject to 6 monthly review):
Permanent Booking: $35 per session,
Casual Bookings: $37 per session, or,
$285 per week for full-time care (both before and after school care every day during school terms).

The team at CABOOSH are experienced educators and are dedicated to making sure your children have a fun, educational and caring after school care experience. We operate out of the Camden Baptist Church, and our programs are delivered in a nurturing Christian environment. The dedicated space of the church grounds is the perfect environment for your children to relax and enjoy their afternoon away from school.
We partner with Camden Baptist Church to provide additional services to our families and the community, which includes a free tutoring program one afternoon each week for the children in our care.
There are also opportunities for your children to get involved in other programs offered by the church, including transitioning care on a Friday night into the church’s Neutrons & Girlztime programs (youth groups for primary school aged children).

Before School Care
You can drop your child off at CABOOSH from 6:30am and we’ll provide them with a nutritious breakfast. We’ll engage them in quiet activities suitable for the early hours of the morning to gently energise them before school starts. We’ll then drop them to school on our private mini buses.*
School Holiday Care / Vacation Care
Our school holiday programs are exciting, action-packed days including incursions, theme days, workshops and excursions. During the holidays, our centre is open from 6:30am-6:30pm. During this time, your children will be provided with a healthy and delicious breakfast, lunch and & afternoon tea, allowing you to continue working during the holiday period.
Pupil Free / Staff Development Days
Our centre is open all day (6:30am-6:30pm) on pupil free / staff development days. On these days, we provide your children with breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks, as well as a range of games and activities.
